How long should tea leaves steep?
All tea requires steeping.
here is a steep guide for that quintessential cup of tea.
WHITE TEA:
• Heat water until just before boiling.
• Steep up to 1 minute & refresh cup
until flavour dissipates.
GREEN TEA:
• Heat water until just before boiling.
• Steep up to 3 minutes & refresh cup
until flavour dissipates.
Flavoured Green TEA:
• Heat water until just before boiling.
• Steep 3 minutes & refresh cup until
flavour dissipates.
OOLONG TEA:
• Heat water until just boiling.
• Steep 3-5 minutes & refresh cup or
pot with just boiled water until the
flavour dissipates.
BLACK TEA:
• Heat water until boiling.
• Steep 3-5 minutes.
Flavoured Black TEA:
• Heat water until boiling.
• Steep 5 minutes.
Pu-Erh TEA:
• Heat water until boiling.
• Steep 5 minutes & refresh cup or pot
with boiling water until flavour dissipates.
TISANE:
• Heat water until boiling.
• Steep to taste & refresh cup
as desired.
